Photog Shootout – Phoenix Arizona Photographer

This month I was asked to join up with my friends at Studio Moirae, Jasen and Christy, and Rob Nicholson for the Phoenix Photog Shootout. I’m always on the lookout for ways to help my fellow photographers, especially everyone in P3G, and this seemed like a great opportunity to do just that. We were asked to teach several groups of photographers what we felt was our photography specialty. With all my years of graphic design, I wanted to teach composition. It’s definitely my strong suit.

We all had a great time shooting, networking and sharing our photography stories. Thanks to Rob for bringing his passion for photography and learning and to Jasen and Christy for hosting yet another awesome event at Studio Moirae.

Winter in Pinetop – Arizona Landscape Photographer

This past Valentine’s weekend, my wife and I, along with our puppy Kona, decided to head up north and take in the wintery landscape in Pinetop. We rented a cabin on a lake and spent a couple of days next to the fire and just relaxed. It was a much needed getaway and it provided me the opportunity to capture some good winter landscape shots. One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to just go out with my camera to see what catches my eye.

P3G “Find the Light” Shoot

As some of you know, when I’m not out shooting weddings or portrait sessions, I’m the leader of a large group of photographers here in the Valley called P3G (Phoenix Photographers Practice Group). I started this group in January of 2009 and it’s grown to over 300 members in that time. I have had the pleasure to meet many amazing photographers and friends through this group and I’m excited to see where it can go in the future.

This month’s meet-up was a “Find the Light” session in downtown Phoenix with over 20 photographers and a handful of great models. Thanks to everyone who came out and made this such an awesome time.

Carolynn and Greg Maternity – Phoenix Portrait Photography

Photographing these two never get old for me. This was our 4th session together (engagement, wedding, TTD and now maternity). Carolynn and Greg always have fun and it shows in their images. Thanks you two for being, well, you. Can’t wait to meet your baby girl soon.
